I’m currently working on a post to go over best practices in locking your bike. I happen to come across bikesnobnyc’s post about preparing yourself for the inevitable moment when you realize your bike has been stolen. I especially like the four tips at the end.
Also linked in this post was YouTube video about a Toyko bicycle tower which impresses me just about as much as the new Shimano electric shifters.

Before I could react to yet another over engineered solution to a problem, the soundtrack to this video had me in a flashback to Friday nights of my youth watching Crockett and Tubbs take down the bad guys. I think the woman in the video is very suspicious. She looks way too happy putting her bike up to come from a natural high. I was ready for a shootout with some handsome, well dressed, undercover badges, but was sadly disappointed. Now that’s something I could get behind.
