Downtown Plan Framework Available, Looks Good for Cyclists

Via the Bicycle Austin Blog (revived recently by Rob D’Amico of the League of Bicycling Voters) and ATXBS, there is some very good coverage of Downtown Planning process, along with links to the plan framework documents broken up by section. Go read it, if you have nothing else to do for the next several hours.

After skimming all of the Environmental Review of the City of San Francisco Bicycle Plan last week, I think I’ll hold off on reading any of this myself for a while. It’s good to know that Rob and Jason are on it, though.

It looks really good. Really, really good.

Note that not all of the document is included in the broken up sections, so if you care about pedestrians, cars, transit and parking, you’ll probably want to read the full document.
